- With only a few days left before voting comes to an end, a handful of referendums have notably gained nearly 100% of votes within the last few days.
- So far, Referendum 114 and Referendum 115 have now collectively snagged a whopping 99% of votes while a few others are yet to gain 50%.
As on-chain voting continues on the Polkadot network, many referendums have gained traction over time. Although, there has been very visible competition as some have gained more votes than others, it is becoming even clearer what the collective is interested in. While some have failed to garner 50% of votes, a select few have passed and are about to cross the 99% mark.
As detailed in a recent tweet from Bill Laboon, a key figure in the Web3 space, Referendum 114 has snagged nearly 100% of votes. Notably, voting ends within the next 24-hours. As such, voters only have a short period of time to vote. At present, 99% of votes are in favor of the Referendum. The referendum is proposing that a Bridge Hub system parachain be onboarded to the Polkadot blockchain network.
Referendum 114, proposing to onboard a Bridge Hub system parachain to Polkadot, is currently passing with 99% in favor and just 1 day left to vote. https://t.co/oHQwe9x3lM

It is worth stating that during the initial stages, the Bridge Hub parachain will not include any bridges. The referendum is actually the first step to making sure that the parachain is on-boarded. The proposal was made to add a Bridge Hub (BH) parachain to Polkadot, the council noted.
“The BH will be the gateway between Polkadot and other networks, like Kusama and Ethereum. For now, the BH only contains some basic logic, and none of the bridge-specific pallets. Those will get added in future runtime upgrades; the goal of this proposal is to get approval from Polkadot stakeholders and launch a “shell” such that bridge teams can focus on releasing their bridge logic, not launching a parachain.” The council further explained.
14 Referendas are still up for vote on Kusama
Similarly, Referendum 115 has also gotten 100% of the votes from voting members. The Referendum is a motion that proposes to open three new HRMP channels. The channels are shared between Statemint and Bitgreen/Subsocial/Manta. As shown on the voting column of Polkadot’s official website, although the proposal has won all votes, voting was slated to end in 7 days They explained:
No spam, no lies, only insights. You can unsubscribe at any time.
As three more parachains have requested an HRMP channel opening with Statemint, this proposal aims to accept and open return channels – the following batch call aims to be executed on this proposal for each of the parachains…
Meanwhile, Referendum 173 which is proposing to set the max_code_size of parachains to 3 MiB, has gained 97.4% of votes at press time. On the other hand, Referendum 174, which is proposing to provide a tip for Polkachu’s Payouts bot, has also passed. At present, there are 14 Referenda currently up for a vote on Kusama.
