Sony Group, together with Astar Network, has established an important effort to expand Soneium blockchain participation through their major initiative. Under the Astar Contribution Score (ACS) campaign, users can earn 100 million ASTR tokens through decentralized finance (DeFi) and Web3 application participation. The campaign will run from February 20 to May 30, 2025.
Claiming Your ASTR Rewards After the Campaign Ends
ACS participants can collect points through their activities between applications, DeFi liquidity provision, and blockchain-based platform activities across Soneium’s blockchain ecosystem. The available ACS points total 1 billion assets and equal 0.1 ASTR per point. The ACS website will offer reward claims for campaign participants after the end of the promotion period.
Astar Network designated a large reward fund to promote sustainable development within Soneium. The initiative includes 40 participating projects, including Velodrome, Quickswap, SoneX, Kyo Finance, and SoneFi. Users who work with dedicated assets inside Soneium’s network ecosystem will receive added point value through multiplication. Users can multiply their rewards by 2x with ASTR tokens but will earn 1.2x with USDC and receive 1x reward for holding USDT. Sony and Astar’s Strategy for Long-Term Engagement
The ACS incentive model rewards active members who help build Soneium operations. Astar Network and Startale Group CEO Sota Watanabe leads the campaign, which identifies users who maintain Web3 application access and supply liquidity to the network.
Astar Network pursues this effort as part of its strategic move to increase blockchain adoption while growing the ASTR token holder base. This conversion process turns blockchain-based activities into useful incentives, aiming to build an interactive Web3 community of users.
According to Maarten Henskens, who leads the foundation at Astar Foundation, the ACS campaign includes features that advance both ASTR adoption and developer and user ecosystem development. The program targets the generation of enduring value through the users’ continued involvement in Soneium DeFi platforms alongside decentralized applications.
Additionally, the campaign serves as a preparatory step for ASTR’s future deployment as a SuperchainERC20 asset. The upcoming deployment of ASTR as SuperchainERC20 will enable cross-network integration with Base and OP Mainnet, which will increase its services throughout the blockchain space.
